The rain really came down today as we left Milan , picked up the car at the airport and drove to Salo on Lake Garda. We arrived at about 2 and had a light lunch at the Hotel Romantik Laurin. Frankly... with the weather and the drive, we needed some time to recover, so we stayed in the hotel for the afternoon.
The rain stopped late in the afternoon and we got a look at where we were. Lovely.
We had a great supper at the hotel and prepared for the next day. The service at the hotel is extraordinary. We have never had our night clothes laid out for us. Nice. The wine choice in the restaurant was wonderful.
I finally made the wifi connection so I updated the blog . We should be good from now on.
Barb felt the earth quake today. The main quake hit yesterday and we didn't feel it but we are in the area and might see some of the result as we head toward Bologna.
